YouTube: Sunday Live with Cinema Dave

This past Sunday I had the absolute pleasure to appear on Cinema Dave‘s Sunday Live series on YouTube. Dave started this livestream series this summer and it’s proven to be quite a big hit! The online film and collecting community is an incredibly friendly and welcoming one and I love how so many people from all across the world get together online and chat about their favourite films, watch lists and most coveted blu-ray releases.

It’s a great (safe) online space that attracts just the best people. I had an absolute blast speaking to Dave about our film favourites, our journeys through film and music, our Halloween and Christmas recommendations and even famed film director David Lynch. Seriously guys, what turned out to be an hour-long conversation absolutely FLEW BY and felt like it had only been five minutes.

Quite a few people in the online film and collecting community joined us and lit up the live comments section, sending Dave and I their own film recommendations and giving us their incredible insight on the movies, actors, directors and releases we discussed. Thank you to everyone who joined us – you made my day! I was initially very worried that no one would turn up haha!

Without further ado, here’s the video. Dave, if you’re reading this … you are a star and I loved every minute of our chat. Thank you so much for inviting me onto your channel. I had so much fun and it was an absolute pleasure πŸ™‚

You can subscribe to Dave’s YouTube channel here and you can also find him on Twitter here.

  1. Enjoyed your chat with Dave immensely.
As you spoke about Christmas films and Bergman I immediately thought of one of my favourite Christmas set films. Bergman’s Fanny and Alexander. The first hour of the film ( it’s long!) is a beautiful evocation of Christmas past. I try to watch it every year.
    Anyway, thank you!

    1. Thanks very much! We’ve been getting some really wonderful feedback which is always nice πŸ™‚ I’m sure Dave’s seen Fanny & Alexander – is it one of the films that’s included in the Criterion box set?

      1. Yes, I believe it’s in the box set. Which I would have bought had I not owned all of the individual releases Criterion put out beforehand. It would probably still be worth it for the titles I don’t have though.
        It’s a gorgeous looking set.
